Dr. Chad Collins is passionate about providing exceptional dentistry through compassionate care, advanced technology, and lasting relationships. As owner of Old Capital Dentistry, his vision has always been to create a practice where patients feel like family while receiving comprehensive, high-quality dental care in a welcoming environment.

A proud Georgia native, Dr. Collins earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. Following dental school, he completed additional advanced training through a General Practice Residency (GPR), expanding his expertise in comprehensive dentistry, dental implant placement, oral surgery, and complex restorative procedures.

After joining the practice in 2009, Dr. Collins became owner in 2018 and renamed it Old Capital Dentistry in honor of Milledgeville's rich history as Georgia's original capital. His vision was to build a practice deeply rooted in the community while embracing the latest advancements in modern dentistry.

Today, Dr. Collins provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, with special interests in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and smile rehabilitation. By utilizing advanced technology such as 3D CBCT imaging and digital intraoral scanning, he is able to deliver more precise diagnoses, comfortable treatment, and predictable results.

Known for his calm demeanor, attention to detail, and genuine concern for his patients, Dr. Collins believes that building trust is just as important as providing excellent dentistry. He is committed to continuing education and investing in the latest technology so patients always receive the highest standard of care.

Outside the office, Dr. Collins is an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, especially boating and enjoying the beautiful lakes of Georgia's Lake Country. He and his wife, Leigh, are proud to own and operate Old Capital Dentistry together while raising their two children, Colt and Mena. Along with their beloved rescue dog, Coco, they are honored to serve the families of Milledgeville, Lake Oconee, and the surrounding Lake Country communities.

Dr. Reichman brings decades of clinical experience to Old Capital Dentistry, with a focus on the jaw-joint (TMJ) and craniomandibular therapy that complements our restorative and family care.

Leigh Collins, RN, serves as the Practice Administrator for Old Capital Dentistry, where she works alongside her husband, Dr. Chad Collins, to lead the day-to-day operations of the practice. Together, they share a vision of creating a welcoming, family-owned dental office where every patient feels comfortable, valued, and cared for.

As a Registered Nurse certified through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), Leigh oversees Old Capital Esthetics & Wellness, supporting the growth and development of the practice's aesthetic and wellness services while ensuring they reflect the same commitment to quality and personalized care that patients have come to expect from Old Capital Dentistry.

Leigh is passionate about creating an exceptional experience for both patients and team members. From enhancing the patient journey to supporting the office team and creating meaningful moments that celebrate the people who make Old Capital Dentistry feel like family, she believes that genuine relationships are the foundation of outstanding care.

Outside the office, Leigh enjoys spending time with Dr. Collins and their children, Colt and Mena. She loves traveling, staying active, crafting, and spending time outdoors with family and friends throughout Georgia's beautiful Lake Country.

Every family has someone who brings a little extra joy—and for ours, that's Coco. Coco is the Collins family's beloved rescue dog and an important part of the Old Capital Dentistry family.

While she has her own cozy nook in the back of the office and doesn't visit treatment areas or interact with patients, she's a favorite among our team and always brightens the day with her sweet personality. Her story is a reminder that sometimes the smallest members of the family make the biggest impact.
