A Practice with Roots
The practice was founded in 1983 by Dr. Bob Vedder, a Milledgeville dentist beloved for his charm and quality dentistry. For years, Dr. Bob's chair was a fixture of the community — a place where patients felt cared for as much as they felt treated.
In 2009, Dr. Chad Collins joined as an associate; in 2018 he became the owner and renamed the practice Old Capital Dentistry, in honor of Milledgeville's history as Georgia's antebellum capital.
Today the practice continues that same tradition — three dentists, a caring team, and modern technology that helps us plan every treatment with precision. The name changed. The heart of it hasn't.
Our logo features the outline of the state of Georgia with a red star marking Milledgeville — a symbol of hometown pride, local roots, and a commitment to serving families throughout Central Georgia with modern, compassionate dental care.
